Oh the places I've been...

Anyone who says that it's too late to change or they are too old to try something new; never met me! The second half of my life is when the real adventures began. I don't want to take anything away from the first half..especially my three daughters Rachel, Erica, and Alyssa, however the last few years are where I really started living! So this is where I begin, literally and figuratively with my stories and pictures.

2018 CinsationalJourney #1 Cambodia and Vietnam

January 2018
Asia is a wonderful continent filled with beautiful people, places, and delicious food! I like to spend January there because the temperatures are fairly pleasant versus the summer months with brutally hot temps and monsoon rains. This year my travels took me to Cambodia and Vietnam. After what felt like Rip Van Winkle could have had a good long nap of air travel I finally reached Phenom Phen. The big draw to Cambodia of course is the amazing Angkor Wat and Angor Thom in Siem Reap. (see photo)
On to Vietnam and the first stop was Saigon or Ho Chi Minh City (current) where the organized chaos of scooter traffic can only be described in a photo (please look)! My tour took me to Hoi An, Hue, Halong Bay, and finally Hanoi. The history of both of these countries is quite astounding. Viet Nam was the jewel of Indo China with over four thousand years of history! The last thousand years they have been at war with someone almost making the "American" war only a blip in time. Not to minimize the losses on both sides, American and Vietnamese, it is remarkable how they have managed to recover and really have a place on the world map! (check the label in that shirt your wearing- likely made in Vietnam)
March 2018
Next stop Havana! (While the embassy is still open)
